If you are to have a marriage with a firm foundation to it, then you must put the Lord Jesus Christ as the Head of it. The husband and wife should daily, pray and intercede, for each other. The devil will do everything he possibly can to bring division between them. His ultimate goal is to destroy the marriage and family.

If you are married to an unbeliever, stand firm on the promise of God for household salvation in Acts 16:31 "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."

Genesis 2:24 "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh."

Mark 10:8-9
8. "And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh."

9. "What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder."

God did not take the woman out of the man's feet for him to walk all over her. Nor did God take the woman out of the head of man for her to rule over him either. But God took the woman out of the man's rib so that she would walk beside him as a helpmate. She was taken from the left side, which is next to the man's heart, for him to love and cherish.

Ephesians 5:21-33:
21. "Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God."

22. "Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord."

23. "For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body."

24. "Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing."

25. "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

26. That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

27. That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish."

28. "So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself."

29For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

30. For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones."

31. "For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh."

32. "This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church."

33. "Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband."

Hebrews 13:4 "Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge."
