Asking and Receiving is very simple when we do it the way the Bible tells us to. This is what the Word tells us in John 16:23-24:
23b. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. 24. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.
Then we see in Hebrews 11:6.
6.But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. James 1:6 says: 6.“But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.”
Still again we see in Matthew 21:22: 22. “And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”
I John 5:14-15 tells us this: 14. Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
So we can see that when we ask according to the way the scriptures show us: 1.That we ask the Father in the Name of Jesus. 2.That we ask in Faith. 3.That we ask Believing. 4.That what we have asked for is according to His will (God's Will is His Word).
Then we can expect to receive! The Word of God is so rich and full of His promises to us as Believers.
I pray Lord, that each of us will expect You to answer our prayers when we ask according to Your Word.
Blessings to you, Judy at Seeking Prayer
