As we see the day of the return of the Lord drawing closer, it must be our #1 priority to know that we know that our names are written down in the Lambs Book of Life. We can be assured of this by confessing Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.
II Corinthians 6:2 "For He saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succored (helped) thee. Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation."
Romans 10:9 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Revelation 20:15 "If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire."
These are just a few scriptures concerning salvation. When you have confessed your sins and asked forgiveness, the Bible says in Romans 8:16 "The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are children of God."
After you have confessed Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior you need to do the following:
1. Pray (I Thessalonians 5:17 "Pray without ceasing.")
2. Read your Bible daily (Psalm 119:11 "Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.") If you do not have a Bible you should get one as soon as possible.
3. Attend Church (Not just any church, but a church that preaches the Word of God unconditionally). Hebrews 10:25 "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. "
Ask the Lord to give you a Pastor. Jeremiah 3:15 "And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding."
