As Born Again Believer's we are to pray for the lost. We have Promises from the Bible that we can pray and stand on for our lost family members and for others. No matter how deep in sin they have gone, it is not so far that the Holy Spirit cannot reach them. As Believer's, each of us can remember when the Holy Spirit convicted us of our sins. (See John 16:8).
The Word of God tells us the following in Job 22:30 “He will even deliver one who is not innocent; Yes, he will be delivered by the purity of your hands.”
We also see the following in I Timothy 2:1-5 1.I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2.For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3.For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4.Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5.For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6.Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
Concerning our family members we have the following Promise in the Bible.
Acts 16:31. 31.And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
I encourage you to pray and stand on these scriptures for your lost family members and to pray for all the lost.
As you pray and speak the Word, this is what the Bible tells us: Isaiah 55:11 “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”
Blessings to you, Judy at Seeking Prayer
