We know that God hates divorce; He does not hate the person of divorce. God knows the ultimate outcome of a divorce, He can see far beyond what we see. When you marry, making a commitment and covenant with your spouse and before God, you become one flesh: Gen.2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
When a husband and wife decide to break that covenant its like a tarring away of your flesh; two are no longer one. The pain of divorce is one of the worse pains in a persons life. It doesn't just destroy the ones getting the divorce, but it tares at the very core of ones family. Children are displaced, they have great fear that maybe they caused it in some way.
Jesus was ask the question about the bill of divorcement that Moses wrote in the law, and He answered it very plainly: Matt. 19:8-9NLT Jesus replied, "Moses permitted divorce only as a concession to your hard hearts, but it was not what God originally intended. And I tell you this, whoever divorces his wife and marries someone else commits adultery-unless his wife has been unfaithful.

I will say to you, that Jesus can heal the broken marriages, if we give Him the chance. Mine was one of the worse, and I wanted to leave, but then I began to ask God to heal our marriage, and He did, (not over night). First He begins with us, changing our lives and drawing us closer to Him.
Please allow Jesus to intervene on your behalf. He loves you and your mate; and will restore and even make better; giving you a love for one another you never dreamed of. Do all you can to make it work through Christ. Then if they leave, you know you have done all you could. Never give up on God. Jere.32:27NLT "Behold I am the Lord, the God of all peoples of the world. Is there anything too hard for me?
Father we come to You in Jesus name, we turn this hurt and disappointment, hardness of hearts concerning marriages, completely over to You. We seek Your face and ask forgiveness for our sins. Please help us to overcome and find the victories You give us in life, according to Your word, in Jesus name. Amen
